CarelineUK hires local talent in recruitment drive

Leading emergency call response service, CarelineUK, has hired five new control centre operators for its rapidly-expanding monitoring operation.

The positions range from emergency call operator roles to senior positions. CarelineUK is looking to fill a further three roles as part of its recruitment drive that will support its ambitious expansion plans.

The employment follows a highly successful recruitment evening run by CarelineUK, the largest ever held, which saw an unprecedented 66 candidates pass through its doors.

The evening events gave CarelineUK a chance to engage with candidates from the local area and explain how CarelineUK works within the wider Peverel Group, one of the UK’s largest property service companies.

Indentified candidates were invited back to one of CarelineUK’s specialist assessments centres which consist of ‘ice-breaker’ and teamwork exercises, one-to-one interviews, mock call scenarios, web-based assessments and psychometric profiling. Based on site, they give candidates a chance to tour the facilities as well.

The industry commended assessments centres are also designed to speed up the recruitment process. CarelineUK has recently cut the average time taken to recruit new staff by two weeks and feedback shows 94% of attendees to a CarelineUK assessment centre preferred this approach to a traditional interview. The average length of service for operators in CarelineUK is five years.

CarelineUK prides itself on providing outstanding customer service. Its market leading training has seen it receive Investors in People status and ISO9001 accreditation. Its clients include local authorities and charities such as The Royal British Legion and The Stroke Association as well as property management firms including Millstream Management Services Ltd.

Independent research carried out in February found 97% of customers said their experience of CarelineUK has either lived up to, or exceeded expectations and nine out of ten said they would recommend the service (Research Factor Solutions, CarelineUK Customer Satisfaction Research, March 2010).

Carl Atkey, Head of CarelineUK, said: “These new recruits will play a key part in keeping CarelineUK at the top of the industry and enable us to build on the great work we already do for our customers. We look forward to welcoming them next month.”
