CarelineUK has strengthened its position as the UK’s largest provider of personal alarm monitoring with two major new contracts.
The first is a three year deal to supply monitoring services to South Gloucestershire’s largest social landlord. Merlin Housing Society has more than 2,000 telecare users on its books who will now have access to CarelineUKs’ 24/7, ‘tried and trusted’ emergency call response service.
The second partnership is with Raglan Housing Association. Raglan owns and manages over 11,500 quality affordable homes across the Midlands and southern England. Following a competitive tender, CarelineUK will now provide personal alarm monitoring to Raglan’s portfolio of 2,407 units.
The deals mean the Hampshire-based CarelineUK now assists and supports over 128,500 potentially vulnerable people and provides out-of-hours support for an additional 500,000 service users, handling over 185,000 calls a month – including more than 3,000 ‘999’ calls.
As a TSA accredited control centre, it operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide telecare monitoring services for potentially vulnerable people and offer assistance in the event of a fall, emergency or crisis.
Carl Atkey, head of CarelineUK, said: “As well as these large contracts, we’ve also seen direct sales of personal alarms grow by 300% in the last six months. Our growth is testament to our ability to deliver an excellent service that always receives high customer satisfaction ratings[1] from both large organisations or individuals.”
[1] 99% of respondent in CarelineUK’s 2011 customer satisfaction survey said the service met or exceeded their expectations.
